PCB Rack

I had a need for a PCB Rack. The commercially available PCB rack cost €50.=, which I deemed too much, for a simple piece of plastic. So I designed my own. It has 25 slots for PCBs (but depending on the height of the components on the PCBs, you may need to keep a slot vacant between every two PCBs).

Note that if you print this rack from dissipative (ESD-safe) filament, it will still cost you around €30.=. Instead, I used standard PLA, and then sprayed the rack with a dissipative coating.

The rack consists of various parts, which are then glued together. The dovetails on some parts may suggest that this design snaps together, but not so: the dovetails merely help with keeping the parts in place while you glue them together. Acknowledgement: the dovetails are generated by the library by Chrisopher Finke (https://www.chrisfinke.com/2017/01/10/generating-dovetails-in-openscad/).

The design is in OpenSCAD. While there are a number of parameters that you can change, I have currently only tested with the dimensions of this particular rack. If you change the parameters, and especially if you change the inclination of the slotted plates, some other parameters may need to be tweaked a little.
