Description
This case snaps together around a RaspberryPi Zero,Pi Zero W, orPi Zero W 2 and stays closed while allowing heat dissipation and port access.
And this is a perfect case and mounting bracket for anyone who wants to add Octoprint to their 3D Printer on the cheap. Octoprint now officially supports the*Raspberry Pi Zero W 2* so I bought one and designed this stylish and simply functional case and bracket to add it to my 3D Printer.
There are 3 basic pieces:
The original case in the pictures has clearance for standard heat sinks and port openings for the Micro USB and Micro SD card slot only.
There are two more versions of the case base included for those using different hardware:
I have an Anycubic i3 Mega S, so I made a Pi bracket that fits perfectly on the front of the y-axis guide rod bracket. It fits over the existing socket head cap screws and the Case Base snaps right onto it.No hardware required!!
Lots of people use an Ender 3 or a clone, so I made a bracket that fits the 40/20 rails used in the base of an Ender 3. This bracket uses 4 M3 flathead screws and T-nuts just to hold the bracket on the printer's base rails. (You can use 3D printed T-nuts like those designed by Trigubovich found here!)

The Case Base probably needs supports for the port cutouts.
The AI3M front Bracket prints well on its side with tree supports.
As with any print that goes around electronics, make sure it's string-free before installing your Raspberry Pi Zero
