Description
Two layers of half-height stacked small divider inserts for 12 compartment plastic Biltema assortment box (product number: 71-729) for storing small numbers of small things.
By printing all the inserts you can increase the number of small compartments up to 48.
Works great for organizing many differents kinds of small screws, nuts, washers, springs, jewelry etc.
Note that most of the compartments in the box are of slightly different shape and size except the 4 rectangular compartments in the middle so most of the inserts only fit in one specific compartment.
Also the bottom layer inserts have a chamfer in the bottom edges unlike the top layer inserts so the top layer inserts don't go all the way down if inserted first.
In case you want to print only some of the inserts the STL files for each individual insert are numbered so that when you have the box in front of you with the hinge further away from you the rows are A-D (back to front) and columns 1-4 (left to right). The middle four identical pieces are named B2C3.
You can take a look at one of the pics that shows the scanned box with annotations for each insert number/code.
I might do similar inserts for the smaller 8 compartment box (product 71-728, 165 x 140 x 35 mm) at some point. Let me know in the comments if you're interested.
I have provided two 3MF project files. One contains all the bottom layer inserts and another one all the top layer inserts in the correct layout as how you would put them in the box.
One layer barely fits on an MK3/MK3S build plate and there is no room for a skirt or brim unless you remove and/or reorder some of the pieces. You might want to print them in smaller batches. Personally I printed 1-6 inserts at a time while I was still designing some of the inserts.
All of the inserts are also provided as separate STLs.
I printed these with 0.4 mm nozzle at 0.25 mm layer height.
