*UPDATE* 12/03/2022

As previously stated, I felt the need to incorporate a sleeve onto the central shaft to add extra strength. It became obvious that, in simply replicating the original design, the knob would likely fail in the same way as their predecessors.

I shortened the central post and extended the screw posts to make them flush with the outer base of the knob. The sleeve is designed to snap onto all 3 posts after the factory weight is installed into the new knob.

The fit is quite snug and should give a positive snap when assembled. Take note to make sure that the D-slot position is facing the correct direction as the corresponding post slot. Insert the small metal sleeve from the original knob into the D-slot. If metal piece is missing, the sleeve piece will need to be modified to accommodate the extra space.

In addition to the sleeve, I filled out the negative space in the remainder of the knob body to add extra strength and durability.

No raft, conical support setting applied in Cura, 30% infill, 220C hot end, 60C bed.

In case you've lost the metal weight piece, I've included the modeled piece from my file assembly so you can use as filler. However, I've not test printed it so it may need some tweaks.

This is my attempt at a reproduction of the knob for my Samsung oven. All of the knobs are cracked or broken to some degree, so I ventured to reproduce the item from the ground up in Fusion 360. This is a work in progress but, as it is now, it is fully functional and ready to print.

I intend to model a sleave to slide onto the D-channel shaft exterior, to give it extra reinforcement/durability.

I will post pictures of the finished product and outline any modifications as needed.

Hopefully this saves you some extra time and money.

Cheers
