Description
I made these spool shaped racks for drying desiccant in dehydrators meant to fit spools of filament. The mesh gaps are 1mm wide, which should not allow most reusable desiccants through. The ID of the "spool" is 2.25inch, which is the same as Amazon Basics spools (and many others). There is a flange on the top of the hub which allows stacking with more racks, or with filament spools. The walls are 1.8mm thick, which is optimal for 0.45mm printed line width (best for an 0.4mm nozzle... the line width setting near the top in Cura).
Resolution:
.2
Filament:
na petg
Notes:
No supports required, since the bridges are short. Don't worry if your printer leaves the bridges sagging a little; that will actually reduce how the amount of broken desiccant bits that fall through. I used PETG; use whatever, as long as it can survive your dehydrator's temperatures.
