Description
I designed this enclosure for a RX5808 Pro Diversity custom PCB, oled screen, LM2596 buck regulator, and LM2940 ldo. The enclosure includes a T-nut insert for mounting to tripods. More info on the RX5808 Pro Diversity project and code for it can be found here:

The OLED and light pipes are fastened using melt down pins. Simply heat up framing nail or similar with a lighter or torch, hold the part snugly in place, and press down on the pin with the head of the hot nail until it is about 0.5-1mm from bottoming out. Note this should be done quickly enough to preserve heat in the nail so the plastic does not stick to it. If the plastic is sticking to your tool, you need to get the tool hotter. When the tool is hot enough, it should be "slippery and smokey", leaving behind a shiny flattened disc of plastic (~1mm thick) that holds the part tight when cooled. If the tool is too hot, it can blacken the light pipes; so I recommend testing your technique on extra light pipes first. If you have a torch it should get the nail red hot and burn off any residue. If you use a lighter, especially with the light pipes, quickly wipe the head of the hot tool clean of any soot etc with a dry paper towel just before pressing (please be careful while doing this).
The rest of this thing is assembled with M3 bolts of varying lengths. Refer to the renderings with components for pcb locations and orientations. I know, specifying a DIY regulator PCB seems a bit weird. I put the bolt pattern in the part list. You can use that to make your LDO board mountable, whether it's from oshpark or your own protoboard concoction (I cnc milled a 2-sided PCB for an LM2940).
I included some stl's I made to mount my Immersion LZR 13db patch antenna. These antennas are heavy and put too much strain on the sma connector (and therefore the pcb traces too) if left unsupported. The antenna mount boom is designed to be clamped between the tripod and the VRx enclosure. There is a second hole on the tripod end of the boom to lock rotation on video tripods. A 1/4-20 bolt stack (washers both sides) is used to attach the antenna mount to the other end of the boom.
