Description
Many hobbyists like me have a few spare male dupont style jumper cables in their toolbox. This thing to turns those spare cables into articulating probes for your DMM or scope. My design is a remix based on giufini's Octo+ PCB Workstation thing:

To assemble, first remove the plastic connector housing from your connector. Then slip however many ball/sockets you need over the wire, snapping them together as you go. When the arm is complete, fish the wire through the probe tip, reinstall the plastic connector housing, then push the connector back into the square hole until it is seated firmly against the stop. To finish it off nicely, use wire cutters to snip the tips of the probes at a sharp angle to form a needle point.
I printed with ABS at 0.1mm resolution because I like how smooth the ball/sockets come out (feels like it moves better to me vs 0.2mm). The square hole fits snug with my printer; if your printer has issues with tolerances, you may have to scale up x and y for the connector to fit in the tip. If you do scale up and the socket becomes too loose, you can fix it by adding thin heatshrink (or glue, or tape) to the last ball on the arm where the probe snaps on. Note giufini also posted some ball/socket parts that are sized to work better with heatshrink.
