Description
I was having a nice walk the other day when suddenly I noticed that the back strap of my right sandal became loose. Lo and behold, the metal clip that held the back strap to my top strap broke - maybe I've been moving too vigorously!
I almost bought a new pair of sandals but luckily decided against it before I reached the cashier. How about designing a clip to replace it? This model is a simple attempt to do so.
I designed it with flexible compliant ‘leaves’ (is that the right word - pardon my non-ME terminology) so that the straps can be slotted in and positioned away from the ‘leaves’.
Do post a make if you find this useful.
[Update] My straps were on too tight so 15% infill and the 90 degree inside corners didn't survive for long. Please use the version 2 (SandalClip2) instead with 100% infill and rounded inside corners and PETG as the printing material.
