Dometic M55L 5" LCD Monitor Mount

I needed a temporary mount for my 5" LCD monitor to use in my Everest when towing the caravan. Didn't want to drill holes or permanently mount the screen, so I designed a mount which sits (firmly - without damage) in the 4WD's CD player slot. It's easy to plug in when we are towing and slide out when driving around town.

I have included files for a dual-axis adjustment (horizontal + vertical) model:

• ScreenMountBase
• ScreenMountBracket
• ScreenMountSlide

However, if you prefer a single-axis adjustment (horizontal only) model:

• ScreenMountBase
• ScreenMountClamp

I printed this in ABS for some additional strength, but I'm certain it would also be fine in PLA. You'll need the following additional hardware: 

• M4*18 bolt (with an M4 nut) as the horizontal pivot point.
• M4*18 bolt (with an M4 washer and M4 nut) as the vertical pivot - unless you opt to use the single-axis (horizontal only) clamp.
• Adhesive felt (or similar, I used adhesive velcro on mine) - this is important to fine-tune the right amount of friction to ensure the mount fits snugly into your CD drive without damaging it. The stuff I used adds about 2mm for this purpose (see the photos below).
