Scandinavian Christmas basket

This is a 3d printed version of a traditional woven heart basket, usually made in paper. 

Print two of the basket model and a handle, the basket itself will be woven togheter.

You start by folding each part in half.

Then you take the folded strands and alternate inside/outside for all of them.

Here is a video that shows the weaving process, I would suggest slowing down the video as it is quite fast.  

You can attach the handle on it either by tape or glue (both are traditionally used depending on what you have available)

And there you have it, a traditional Scandinavian Christmas basket. One of the traditional things to use it for is to put it on the tree with som candy in it!
