Star Trek TR-580 Tricorder Kit

Here is my take on the tricorder featured on the later seasons of Star Trek: The Next Generation. It has the option of being a standard science tricorder and can be converted to a medical tricorder using magnets to swap parts.

September 9 2024 - Enhanced the graphics for much better resolution. 

April 8 2023 - Finally got around to finishing this.

• Fixed some fitting issues like the EMRG and tiny LEDs.
• Added printable 'paint' parts for the medical module--the black inside chamber and the dark gray sides panels. Optional but an easy alternative to painting. Use supports for the black insert. 
• Added a modular version of the main body that can swap out the medical and standard sensor modules with magnets. Use tight supports for the medical module to get cleaner bottom edges.
• Added the TR-560 variant of the TR-580 that has a stowable hand scanner. This variant was called TR-560 on its label but to keep things straight here the parts are called TR560A. If you want the tr-560 tag for the stand, you can get it here. 
• Updated graphics to include the TR-560 label. 
• Updated the medical hand scanner parts for cleaner printing and assembly. 
• Updated the standard and medical bodies to fit the updated LEDs, and the medical scanner bay was adjusted so the scanner could be removed easier. 
• Added a new display stand base with attachment holder to display the medical or sensor modules. 
• The two little red LEDs on the front of the med module are supposed to be red, and use the same LED bulbs as the green ones for the white sensors. 
• All updated parts have v2 in the filename. 

June 25 2023 - Added another stand base without the tag to save space. 

Model notes

Uses 6x2mm magnets where needed. 

Use supports for the body, door, hinges, and scanner cap. Make sure to check your support settings for extra adhesion/coverage to help keep the body from tipping over.

Graphics, display stand, and belt holster included. The graphics should print at the correct size if printed at original scale.
