Description
We are using the Baofeng BF-R5 portable two-way radio as communication in our Scout group Träkvista Sjöscoutkår, and I made these upgraded pocket clips.
The problem with the original pocket clips is that they don't have a good way to fix a lanyard, they have an edge that gets stuck on the bands on our life jackets / personal flotation devices, which caused people to drop the radios overboard, and they are not easy to put back on your band/in your pocket due to that same edge.
I started out by 3D Scanning one of the radios with the Shining3D Einscan Pro HD with the Industrial Pack (tripod and automatic turntable) in the scanning studio at 3DVerkstan and using that model as a reference, I did draw up this pocket clip in Fusion 360 and then ended up printing the clips on a Formlabs Fuse 1 SLS printer in Nylon 12.
This pocket clip does very likely also fit the WLN KD-C1 which looks to be made in the same molded shell as the Baofeng BF-R5, though I have not tested this.
