Description

Got really stressed out one night so I decided to CAD a holder for my calculator that I use for school. (TI-30XIIS) Not sure if anyone else uses this model of calculator frequently, but it's my go to, to reach for a physical calculator which is why I made a convenient holder for my desk so that it is in the same place at all times.

I tried to go for a steampunk look with my filament choice but it didn't turn out as expected. However, I used ERYONE gold and bronze filament and the filament itself is very beautiful.

This is the second iterations and could see more improvements, however feel free to modify it if you need to, this should fit the calculator with or without the calculator covering.

Print instructions

For print orientation, please refer to the third photo for this project, this is still a work in progress so there should be more efficient ways to print with less supports, however this print took me around 4 hours at 0.4mm nozzle and 0.3mm draft settings.

Depending on tolerances, the two parts may press fit, however I would highly recommend some super glue or hot glue to secure the two pieces together as there will be a tiny load from the calculator weight on the two parts.

The holder can be easily mounted with double sided mounting tape or by using the built-in screw holes to mount to the bottom side of your desk!

Print Settings:
Layer Height: 0.15-0.3 (your choice)
Infill: 5-30% (your choice)
Brim: No
Supports: Yes (Supports are needed in some area, however I would recommend using support blockers to remove supports from redundant areas where support isn't required. Use supports at your discretion for any areas with overhangs.
