Description
On the slider of the ruler, a distance up to 18cm can be set in millimeter steps. After fixing the distance by means of the rotary knob, the distance can be marked repeatedly on a workpiece edge. The ruler is very useful for marking drill holes or making equal lengths.
The ruler is printed in PLA, without edge, with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height. Additionally, an M5x20mm Allen screw and 2 M5 nuts are needed. One nut is screwed in to the top of the screw and countered with the screw head. The other nut is pressed into the recess of the slider, secure with superglue if necessary. The screw/nut combination is then pressed into the rotary knob. By slightly turning and pressing, the correct position of the screw is found so that the nut slides into the hexagonal recess. The opening in the knob can be closed with the enclosed 9mm cover by pressing it in.
The model can be printed in two colors with MK3SMMU or MK3S with color change. For the MINI there is a shorter ruler, this fits flat, diagonally on the MINI print bed.
