Snapmaker 2.0 Power Supply Fan Bracket

This is a complete alternate cooling solution for the Snapmaker 2.0 power supply.

Notes*

I had to remove the lighting inside the power supply including the diffuser and the circuit board that controls the breathing effect (personally I wanted this gone anyways)

With the A10 Bracket you can fit the original front grill back on, but with the A20 Bracket you can not (as seen in picture).

The internal power supply fan (not the power supply case fan that needs 24V) runs off 12V. I spliced two Noctua fan connectors to run off this 12V header.

All three fans are spliced together to run off of 1 of those Noctua fan connecters from the 12V fan header.

The second Noctua connector coming from the 12V header powers an A10 fan for the exhaust. I mounted the fan using this. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4628510

I added a length on the fan bracket to be tapped with M3 threads but they just broke off with my luck and I ended up hot gluing the fans to the bracket without any issues.

1. The bracket is a tight fit and does not require any fasteners to mount it into the power supply case.

Reasoning for this mod:
I wanted a mod to reduce the fan noise, increase the cooling, and eliminate the lighting effect. I have this in my bedroom and did not want to have the bright light shining at night.

I believe with some careful planning you can still keep the lighting. The circuit board to control the breathing effect was never in the way. the diffuser might not be able to remain but I think you could mount the led strip with some 3m adhesive tape to the roof of the power supply enclosure. In the end this mod uses 4 Noctua 40mm x 10mm fans.
