Dovetail Marker

printables-icon

Description

Update: Version 2 with improved printability available here

This is a guiding tool to mark dovetail joints with different inclinations quickly and easily. This is best combined with an edge distance marker (like this, or this for example), if you don't use the complete length per side, which is 40mm.

Printing

Print this with the topside (where the markings are) on the printbed. Layers between 0.1mm and 0.2mm should yield pretty nice results, but you can of course also use thicker layers. I would use at least 3 perimeters to make the edges nice and stiff and about 20-30% infill.

I also provided a version without need for bridges. Use this if you want to print with a material that does not handle bridging well and don't want to use supports.

Scaling

You can scale the model in your slicer, but keep in mind, that this will also affect the distance marks and their size. If you don't want/need the distance markings, there is also a version without. This would be best suited for scaling I think.
