Description
This is a large 205mm diameter globe lamp that uses NASA imagery to create an accurate depiction of the continents and oceans. The oceans have some added artwork including a compass rose and pirate ship for some added flair. There are two versions - one with a bottom mount intended to be displayed on a wire frame cube stand, and a top mount intended to be hung from the ceiling. For the ceiling mount version the Cable Wall Clip can be used to mount the power cable along the ceiling.
The lamp is designed to use an IKEA Stralla lightbulb cord and a LED E12 Chandelier lightbulb. I use these ones from Amazon that are fully dimmable if paired with a smart outlet.
All GCODE files provided use a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height for efficient printing times. You can use a 0.4mm nozzle and 0.15-0.2mm layer heights but expect longer printing times.
The globe lamp must be printed at 100% infill, and the Lightbulb Socket must be printed with sufficient perimeters (4-5) such that there are no infill sections.
The wireframe cube holder must be printed 3 times, and the pieces are simply superglued together.
