Coin Box for 2x2 Coin Holders - Unique design

These Coin Boxes print nicely and are a great way to store and organize your coins that are packaged in 2x2 holders. These boxes are unique in that they can display a “sample” coin in the front window panel. Or you can print one on the “Tags” and show the precise date ranges and type of coin the box contains. You can also us the "Tags" as coin separators to put multiple ranges or types of coins in one box. 

The box is sized for the US 2x2 coin holder, and should fit any coin that will fit in these holders. You may have to flatten any staples a bit on the 2x2 to fit in the window, but it's not hard to do and the results are really nice. Boxes hold approximately 50 2x2 coin holders with a little room for tags or future growth. I'll be adding a larger 8" or 203mm size soon.

I have provided the STEP files for the blank lid and blank tag. I used a depth of .8mm for the text on my models. These are a great compliment to my US and Euro coin tubes located here:

Printing

Print  bottom side down for both the lid and the box.

Filament - PLA

Infill - 10-15%

Layer Height - .20mm

Supports - Minimal supports for the front window on the box. My .3mf file has the supports included. 

Parimeters - 5-6 works well

Additional Parts - More Tabs

Bed Adhesion - None

Rafts - None

Scaling - Scale at your own discretion, I have not scaled this model, but make sure to scale the Box and Lid the same

Filament Change - For the Tags you may want to use contrasting colors to make the text easier to read.

Post Printing Notes:  

You may have some initial tight fitment, but repeated opening and closing of the lid should make the lid go on much better.  If you decide to print this model, please post a make with some nice pictures. I love to see what folks are doing with my models.
