Description
Check the new redesign: Phone Holder V2 which features an even more compact design and no magnets required!
(It does have stricter tolerance than this version tho, so keep that in mind)
This phone holder is perfect for holding your smartphone on flights and when you travel! It uses the folding tray edge to hold to, but it can be used on any surface as well.
It was designed to be as compact as possible to be carried in a bag without taking up too much space :)
As well as working on flights, this can also be used on a table or any edge where it can be hooked too!
[Optional] You can print this model with space for magnets (_x_mm ) which will make the mechanism snap in the standing position, which is useful when used as a table stand.
[Optional] You can put sticky soft pads where the phone sits to increase friction if your device is particularly slippery. You can also put soft pads in the hook to make it more stable when held on the airplane.
Infill: 10% is enough with 3 perimeters
Thickness: 3 perimeters
Layer height: 0.2mm on a 0.4mm nozzle should work well for tolerances
Support: None
This design was inspired by the design from Owen Saez on Thingiverse. The model was completely redone from scratch, adding a folding mechanism to make it more compact.
