Description

This is a filament dry box I made for printing nylons. It is inspired by the Markfoged drybox but way cheeper. This uses a Monoprice
9.9 L waterproof hard case and some PTFE fittings and tubing. It can hold two spools of 1KG filament. You will need a 10mm rod to used included files although you can always make your holder or remix this one to fit whatever rod you have.

total build cost $40

Print instructions

Material: PLA or PETG
Layer Height: 0.2
Infill: 20%

Assembly instructions:

After printing, insert tabs into box then glue the spool holding members. Gluing them in the box ensures to correct for differences in printers and different dry box dimensions. Be careful not to glue it into the box unless you want it to be permanent. Then drill holes for the PTFE fittings in the general area shown in the photos above. If you use a smaller hole then the thread OD there is no need to tap as they will self tap as you screw them in. Finally insert desired length PTFE tubing and your good to go. Happy Printing!
