Description
A carriage for an Ender 5 modified to run on a linear rail. The STL attached is for a MGN-12 rail, but the FreeCAD file has a spreadsheet and instructions on how you can make it work for any linear rail.
PLA is suggested for maximum rigidity.
Slice as oriented. Print hot & slow--this means better layer adhesion, which is something that PLA struggles with.
Slide the belts in the square holes on the side, and screw in an M3 bolt to retain them.
When tightening bolts to hold it on the linear rail, do not over-tighten. Over-tightening can lead to cracking, requiring you to re-print this.
