Description
Here is a self-designed QI wireless charger bed for IKEA bed for 5.1" phones (I'm using it for Samsung Galaxy S6 and S7).
Electronics used for: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Qi-Wireless-Universal-Charger-PCBA-Circuit-Board-Coil-Wireless-Charging-Micro-USB-Port-DIY/32780560736.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.F7DXEs
Before the final release, I did 3 prototypes. The last one is fixed with screws on back side, but in principle can be used without screws.
Consist of two parts:
The body is printed lying on side with holes for screws, with supports.
PCB is fixed inside body with two spots of hot-glue.
The coil placed on short pieces of flexible tubes - just to raise a bit and keep touching the top cover - to minimize distance between coil and phone (used pieces of heat shrink tube for that).
The top thin cover is glued with acetone (used ABS for the thing).
Printed 2 of them, for both sides of our bed. The LEDs on PCB are way too bright at night, therefore I used a black insulating tape with pin-holes (see photo). Now LED's light can be seen only on direct sight - doesn't disturb anymore.
Also attaching source of model: designed in FreeCAD. There are a lot of invisible garbage objects, used during designing... may be used if someone would like to adjust for their bed size, or another smartphone size.
