Description
I bought 15" hubcaps without any car brand markings and decided to add Toyota logo emblems (photo 1).
I drew and printed the base of the logo from black PLA and silver PLA (logo) with 30% infill and ironing of the last layer - diameter 63mm (photo 2). Then I printed a template for drilling holes in the cap (photo 3) and drilled the holes (photo 4). Originally, there were supposed to be 5 holes, but I found that 3 would be enough.
In the next step, I printed the pins, which I glued to the base of the logo from the cap side (photo 5). After printing I found the base a little too thin and added 1mm to the base thickness of the logo for better stability. Then I smeared both parts with glue and glued them together. In the last stage, I heated the screw mounted in the screwdriver with a burner and melted a few mm of pins from the inside of the cap (photos 6 and 7). This is the end result, I am satisfied (photo 8).
