Description

v2 Changes - 2023-06-13

  • Increased fan front-to-back tolerances to make assembly easier
  • Greatly improved the wiring spacing to prevent damage during assembly/dissassembly
  • Added cutout to fit the bottom of X1/X1C
  • Increased the Z-height of the Adapter to improve airflow. (Compatible with v1 Base)

 

Designed to replace the BentoBox Fan Duct and Fan Bracket to support 2x 5015 radial (blower) fans. Ex: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079BPS9Q8

Same dimensions as the stacked Duct and Fan with matching screw holes and magnet spots. Please see https://www.printables.com/model/272525-bambu-lab-x1c-bentobox-air-filter/files for most instructions.

 

Printing

  1. Layer Height: 0.2 - 0.3 mm
  2. Infill: 20%
  3. Support: Yes, recommended to have a brim for the inside Fan Adapter vent supports

Assembling

  1. Install magnets and threaded heat inserts like the original
  2. Insert the right 5015 fan and route the cable out the left side.
  3. Carefully route and hold the fan cables while inserting the left fan. If the gap seems tighter on the left fan, then you are likely pinching a cable.
  4. Splice the fan wires together for power based on original design
  5. Add the HEPA Filter and Activated-Carbon components on top
