Description
Do you love 3D Printy's bobbleheads or one of the many models that use his baseplates and springs? Do you lament your inability to quickly mount one of these fantastic bobbleheads to your camera tripod? Well, here's the model for you!
OpenSCAD is freely available program that turns simple text scripts into models you can load into your slicer.
I took 3D Printy's parametric base model, BOSL2ed it a bit and mixed it with an Arca Swiss / Really Right Stuff compatible dovetail plate. Parameters are provided for bobblehead base post size, spring peg size and all the dovetail dimensions.
The BOSL2 library provides a number of tools that make it easier to write effective, clear and concise OpenSCAD code. I can't recommend it enough! The one down side is you will need BOSL2 installed on your system before you can build models from the SCAD source. Luckily, the install is quick and easy.
I've had success printing in Atomic PETG (any good quality PETG will work), 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, four vertical perimeters, six solid top and bottom layers with 15% gyroid infill.
