This is a mashup of the following two models to be able to mount a D1 mini v3.0 together with a reed sensor onto a BK-G4 gas meter:

Versions
The case is available in an additional version that allows to install a 5mm LED into it. I use a RGB LED to visualize the sensor impulse (1 closed pulse / 0.01m³) whenever it gets triggered.
Print Settings
- No supports needed.
- Check the pictures in case you have questions about the parts print plate orientation.
- If your printer has a good build plate adhesion you won't need a brim to prevent the parts from warping.
Assembly
- Add a M3 nut into the hole of the D1 mini v3.0 part of the case (see pictures).
- Place the reed sensor into the opening and route the cables through the hole connecting both parts of the case. Make sure the sensor is positioned in the middle of the opening so that it gets triggered without problems by the gas meter. Secure it with some hot glue in place.
- Mount the optional LED with some hot glue into the 5mm hole and route its cables through the case.
- Solder the wires to the D1 mini v3.0 ports. I do use the D1 aka GPIO5 pin for the reed sensor and the D5, D6 and D7 aka GPIO14, GPIO12 and GPIO13 pins for the RGB LED. The other pin of the reed sensor is connected to GND so that the internal pullup resistor of the GPIO5 pin can be used. The last missing wire is the 3v3 to the LED so that it can be switched to GND via the already connected pins.
- Snap the D1 mini v3.0 into place with first sliding the USB port side into the case followed by pressing the board down at the other side until it snaps in place.
- Close the case with the two provided covers - the reed sensor / LED cover might need to be secured with some glue depending on your printer tolerances.
- Mount the case with a M3 screw to the gas meter - you might need to add some washers depending on the type of screw you're using.
