Description
Overview
Enclosure for a 4pin magnetic pogo connector for Gaggia Classic and Gaggia Classic Pro.
One pogo pin connector is for Nextion Display. Second is for programming STLink.
Housing Adjustability
Pogo housing depth can be adjusted depending of your pogo pin soldering / heatshrink strain-relief job. If your heatshrink strain relief is long, increase crease depth of enclosure (info below). Otherwise, your connector wiring may butt up into the Gaggia Classic funnel preventing a solid fit.
Print Settings
Printed at 0.2 layer height with supports oriented with pogo pin exterior facing down (see images 3 and 4).
In Cura using support interface with 0.4mm z offset for easy support removal.
Pogo Pin Connector Info
These connectors are DIY and can be used in whatever way the user wants. The right angle solder connections are easier to solder than the straight stubby pin version. Simply straighten the right angle pins and solder / heatshrink for strain relief and electrical isolation.
You can then connect the pogo pin connectors directly to a STLink programmer housed within the Gaggia case, or adapt the USB cable (cut and wire a new connector).
Alternatively, if you would like to keep the STLink case outside of the Gaggia simply adapt the USB Cable to JST-XH or 4pin dupont to connect to the external STLink plugged into your computers usb. (PC → STLink → Adapted Pogo Cable → Gaggia Pogo Port)
