Description
I liked the concept of the original design, but I couldn't get it to print well perhaps because I was less experienced with printing back then. But I did know how to use Solidworks, and after some trial and error, I came up with this design. This version has thicker walls which I was able to print better. I also made it a bit easier to install and uninstall. I printed it with PETG, 0.4mm nozzle, & maybe 0.2mm layers. I made this a while ago and I don't remember the layer height. The gcode I saved says 0.05mm, so I'm guess was the layer height I used. The perimeters and top and bottom are 1-2mm which makes the infill effectively 100%. I came up with two remixes. The first is an attempt to follow the original design as closely as possible. The second (really the third) is an attempt to make the base stronger. The pictures are of the second design.
It's also possible to use this as a stress relief for other cables by increasing the scale to fit as @oriddlero did.
