Quick & Easy First Layer Test (PLA, PETG, ABS)

This is a simple 70mm x 70mm first layer test & adjust print.*

BEFORE PRINTING THIS: Please consider -

-Your build plate and print nozzle are clean

-Follow your printer manufacturer's methods bed levelling and first layer and tool head calibrations; this test print is meant to be for final fine tuning of first layer print quality.

-I also highly recommend that you print this temperature tower to determine the nozzle temp. of the filament you are using if you are not certain of it. https://www.printables.com/model/340309-best-temperature-tower/files

WARNING: When fine tuning the Z height be very cautious not lower the nozzle too low - nozzle tip touching the bed.

Although the preset layer height of this print is 0.3mm for 1 layer, once you have fine tuned this first layer, it should be set for any layer height you choose.

*The optimal first layer should have evenly printed ‘lines’ with consistent surface. When removed from the print bed the print should flex but but not easily break - too high or too low Z height will break easy.
