Description
Do you ever feel that your true inner feelings are not noticed by the people around you? This is not a problem when you have the Mood-O-Meter on your desk!
You need 7x 6mm x 3mm magnets.
I’ve added two types of .gcode files for the mood plates; ”Simple” and “Advanced”. Neither one of these require MMU or anything else beside the basic printer you have. The difference between these two is that the “simple” version only has one manual filament change, and the “advanced” one has four filament changes.
The important part of doing a manual filament change is to make sure that there is a minimal amount of leftover filament on the nozzle when the print continues.
The “simple” versions are better for things which doesn’t have small “islands” of filament as the print will begin with the outside of the text (think the small holes on a “B”)
The “advanced” versions are better for most things as the print begins with the outline of the text, but the filament changes takes more time.
You should do some tests and see which one works the best for you. You can see very early on if the print will work or not.
Note: I haven’t tested all the mood .gcode files! If there are errors, please let me know and I’ll correct them. The frame works perfectly and has been tested multiple times.
No supports needed!
1. Start by adding the magnet to the frame. A little drop of superglue will make sure that it doesn’t come loose!
2. Continue by adding the magnets to the roll. Again, a little drop of superglue will make sure that they don’t come loose later on.
Take care with aligning the magnets correctly!
Pro-tip: Reverse one of the magnets if you want that selection to not be selectable!
3. Add the mood plates. The holes are for alignment, and to superglue them on you should add a drop of it to the center of the plate.
4. Runs and repeat. Do this with all the plates.
5. Now you should have a nicely fitting roll with all the moods added.
6a. To make the Mood-O-Meter super smooth, add some silicone based lube to the raised ring on the cap. This is not absolutely necessary, it will work just fine without it as well!
7. Add some superglue to the hexagonal hole on the other side of the roll. Don’t forget to add the cap before adding the handle!
Check the orientation of the cap!
8. Press the handle in.
8a. To make the Mood-O-Meter super smooth, add some silicone based lube to the hole on the magnet side of the roll. This is not absolutely necessary, it will work just fine without it as well!
9. Add some superglue to the frame as a preparation for adding the inner assembly.
10. Push the inner assembly in. Enjoy your new Mood-O-Meter!
