Description
What are platonic solids, you ask?
From Wikipedia (simple English):
A platonic solid is a kind of polyhedron. It has the following characteristics:
These are printed in spread-out configuration with only 0.4mm double layers (meant to be printed @ 0.2mm layer height) and using a simple lighter/burner to soft the plastic enough to fold into place.
Extruded faces are in the correct angles to ensure there's no need for a delicate accurate hand- simply heat with 2 quick passes an edge and let gravity fall the piece into it's final resting place (check pictures for in-process view).
Gluing the coincident faces with super glue is recommended but not necessary (all finished solids in the pictures are not glued).
all these solids based of a inscribed circle inside the regular shape of 25mm but SOLIDWORKS2019 CAD original files are added here (besides STEP and STL) so you could change and export the models to you desired size, or just check out the creation process.
