Description

Bottle tower that can accommodate 3 average-sized 1.5L soft drink bottles/wine bottles in order to save vertical space, in case you those stupidly-designed fridges where the door can't hold bottles in standing position, or just need extra space for lying bottles.

SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED!

the tower parts are designed to be connected using filament as dowel between them.

Instructions:

  1. There are small 2mm holes, drill with 2mm twist drill bit with little to no force in order to make true 2mm holes and smooth inside.
  2. Cut filament to ~7mm segments in order to use as dowels.
  3. lightly sand (I used 200grit sandpaper) the faces of the parts that are going to touch each other.
  4. Put single drop of superglue inside the holes of 1st part and insert dowels.
  5. Put single drop of superglue to the corresponding holes in the 2nd part and connect them quickly. make sure to hold them together flush with slight force for about 10-20 seconds.

Order of gluing parts:

  1. Body to top support (left/right)
  2. Assembly to tall supports (left/right)

Mirrored parts Connected With Bridges:

since the parts are designed to be printed standing up, I've added files which connect two mirrored parts together with small bridges and a connecting raft between the footprints so that both could be printed without the risk of failing (which happened to me twice before I decided to make these files).

After printing these, cut the parts apart and using box knife blade, trim the bridges flush.

CAD:

I've added the original source files, made with SOLIDWORKS2019, so you can view the creation process and modify it to your desire, if needed.
