Description
I picked up a roll of Lumastrip LED strip locally for less than $10 and mounted it to the flat surface of this lightbar frame that I created. Since my Ender3 Pro bed is only 235mm, I needed to split the bar in half since the total length of the bar is 300mm.
Print 2 of these lightbar frames and glue them together side-by-side. Super glue works fine. Now there are several ways to proceed with mounting the LED's.
One way would be to cut 4 equal length LED strips and attach them to the glued together frame and attach the controller to the topside of the frame.
A second way is to simply wrap around the top to avoid cutting the strip as I did. I did this so that the top surface of the lightbar would reflect light from the top of my printer enclosure. The controller is still mounted on top of the lightbar. Clear tape or “invisible” tape wrapped around the strips and power wire at the edges can help keep everything secure and neat.
I designed this with the inward curve to be the side facing the printer bed. The layer height used was 0.28mm. Infill was 15%. Supports are needed.
The STEP file is included to make editing the file easier if desired.
