Inspired by some of the battery-powered soldering stations already out there (particularly Callingall's), I created my own version from the ground up.

DISCLAIMER: The DIY kit used does not have any battery protection circuitry and, if left on for too long, has the potential to over-discharge the M18 battery and cause it to stop working permanently.
