Brain with grey and white matter

This model shows the white matter of the human cerebral cortex in the right hemisphere, with the grey matter included as well in the left hemisphere. Also shown in this model are the white matter tracts that cross between the hemispheres (e.g. corpus callosum), and the white matter of the internal capsule on both sides. The model is based on real human anatomical information, generated from 3D data in the anatomography database, remeshed and modified to make it printable.

The model prints well with the left (grey matter) side down on the bed. Support (and support removal) is tricky in any orientation, but this orientation is manageable anyway!

The photo shows a model printed at 50% scale at 0.2mm layer height in prusament vanilla white PLA on a i3 mk3s.
