Description
My friend is in a wheel chair. Without going into details, they do not have the ability to use a mouse, keyboard or push buttons. This is a early protoype of their custom HID system.
The system uses an arduino leonardo to interface with a PC as a peripheral. The buttons are touch sensors which means that they can activate them. The joy sticks are easy enough as its similar to the wheel chair. It connects via usb plug and play for windows.
Left hand is programmed for gaming keys ASDW. Right side has mouse enable/disable, left/right click and joystick mouse.
Later I intend to program some sensors to take Morse code so they can type. a second joystick will scroll though the HID key mapping menu. There is a I2C bus which will allow for a robotic arm to be attached to the chair. eventually I would like Elysa 3.0 to be controlled from this device soon. (A robot i have uploaded on here).
If anyone wants to collaborate on the robot arm designs, please let me know!
