Customizable Large 7 Segment LED Display

This is a large Seven Segment LED display that you can use to create your own clocks, scoreboards, whatever. This initial version is customizable, but the SCAD is a mess.

SCAD file produces two parts:

Case is the item that separates each segment.

Lens are the items that can optionally be printed in the case.

Still working best combination of materials for LED diffusion.

Default STL file is a 200mm height character, which fits on a Flashforge or clone bed.

Instructions

Multiple ways to use the parts:

On a single material printer:

Either:

• Print just the case, and use a sheet of diffusion material (e.g., parchment sheet or Rosco Cinegel 3000, which produces great results) over the case.
• Make the lens element really small (one or two layers) and print the case and lens as one piece.

On a dual material printer:

Either:

• Print the case and lens in one pass with two colors (e.g., white lens and black case) - make sure the lens is thin (<0.6mm)
• Print the case in a plastic like ABS, and print the lens in a plastic like PETG. (This is what I am trying to get correct.)
