Dillon 550 Manual Powder Funnel

I started reloading 6.5 Creedmoor using H4350 powder on a Dillon 550C. Since H4350 is extruded, the Dillon powder drop varies up to 0.3 gr of powder per load for coarse extruded powders. This means that each case isn't receiving the exact powder.

The solution is to use a funnel to manually measure and pour powder into the case. I designed this using TinkerCAD in a matter of minutes. First version used 20.15mm which ended up being too tight on the receiver portion of the powder drop die. I opened it up to 20.5mm. It now fits well.

Since the Dillon 550 is a progress manual indexing press, this funnel simple slips over the powder funnel die. You may need to adjust the length on the die to make sure good contact with the powder drop insert is achieved. That insert does not flare the necks of rifle cartridges therefor is easy to apply inline progressively. This funnel should not be applied with powder die inserts for calibers requiring flaring for projectile insertion. There will be no pressure to force the insert downward into the case as the shell plate moves upward. 

I printed this on a Prusa i3 MK3S+ using Overature PETG in Digital Blue. Infill does not matter. I used default 15% gyroid infill. 4 wall thickness with 4 layer thickness. Supports on printer bed only. I also opted to use a brim.
