3/8" to 1/4" screw adapter (Photo/video)

This is a 3D printable 3/8" to 1/4" screw adapter, ideal for adapting threads commonly found in photo and video equipment such as tripods, camera mounts, and more.

Important Update:

I’ve created a Version 2 of this model with improved thread tolerance. While this original Version 1 offers a tight fit, some users may find it difficult to mount or use in certain setups.

• Version 2 addresses this issue by adding extra tolerance, making it easier to screw on and off while maintaining a secure fit.

• Both versions are available, so you can choose based on your preferences:

• Version 1: Tight fit for extra security in certain applications.

• Version 2: Easier to mount with added thread tolerance.

Feel free to try both and pick the one that works best for your needs! It is small and quick print.

Recommended Print Setup:

For best results, use the following print settings:

• Layer Height: 0.1–0.2 mm for smooth threads.

• Material: PLA, PETG, ASA or ABS.

• Wall Count: 3 walls for strength.

• Infill: 50% or higher to ensure a sturdy part.

• Supports: Not required.

Make sure to calibrate your printer’s flow and dimensional accuracy for a precise fit!

If you’ve already printed Version 1 and found the fit too tight, I highly recommend giving Version 2 a try!
