Description
I wanted to print a magnetic hanger for our dust cover and wanted to start with a simple design where the magnet are attached to the vertical site of the dust cover.
But when testing the magnet, it turned out, that the magnet I had at hand where to weak to hold the weight of an object with approx. 300g when attached to the vertical wall of the dust cover.
So I created a design with 88° angle, so that the magnet could sit on top and only to withstand the horizontal forces and not the weight of the object itself (and I also created a stl with a 90° angle).
On top I added round notch with a diameter of 12,6 mm:
As the hanger is designed to be printed on the side and with a 0.6 nozzle, the notch is not cut thru the whole top, but 1 perimeter of 0,6 is left.
But it should also be printable with a 0.4 nozzle, especially when using the arachne engine.
I added two magnets with a diameter of 12mm into the notch, as one wasn't really strong enough to hold the hanger secure in place.
