Snailien (snail-alien xenomorph mashup) lawn ornament

This is a mashup of a Snail and Alien Xenomorph we sculpted as I wanted one for my front porch.

Use gyroid infill at 5%, drill a 1" hole in the bottom, and fill it with plaster to give it weight so the wind won't take it away.

It's a easy print, orient diagonally to print it on one build plate.

Print instructions

Printed at .15. in black PLA, 5% gyroid infill.

Drill a 1" hole in the bottom for a pour spout, fill with plaster for weight (2 parts plaster, 1 part water)

Finishing:

Lightly sand rough edges
Give it 3 coats of black primer until the layer lines are gone. 15 minutes dry between coats.
Oil rubbed bronze acrylic spray for the base coat
Spanish gold rub and buff for the body
Silver leaf rub and buff for the shell
Liquitex paint pen, Mars Black, for the hood
Clear coat for UV protection

I put mine on the front porch for the sake of the postman.
