Description
I created this mount to attach HQST solar panels to 1 inch (26mm) square aluminum tubing.
The mount itself attaches to the solar panel via a M6 x 12mm screw and nylon locking nut.
The hole for the mount to solar panel is offset, so mirror the model as required. No drilling is required for the HQST panels as the hole was pre-drilled.
The mount is secured to the square tubing via a M6 x 50mm screw and nylon locking nut.
The mount to square tubing hole is centered. There are 2 variations, one parallel to the panel, one perpendicular. I chose not to drill a hole through my panel frame, so I used the parallel version. The choice is yours.
I printed the mounts in PETG, .2 resolution. 25% infill with 5 walls for strength. Supports are not needed if oriented on the bed as in the models (all walls vertical).
BOM
All hardware is 304 Stainless Steel to reduce corrosion potential.
Solar Panels Used: HQST 100 watt x 4 panel 12v

The HQST panels are 30mm thick. The frame is 7mm wide on the front, and 25mm wide on the back.
