Description

Yet another desiccant container that fits securely inside of a Prusament spool.

It holds 2+ mm indicating silica gel and a generic round hygrometer to measure temperature and humidity.

First fill the container with desiccant up to the tip of the center cone, then snap in the hygrometer. You can then slide in the desiccant container and use the cap to hold it securely within a spool. It uses a quarter turn to secure the cap to the container.

This design was inspired by: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/1367-malolos-silica-gel-desiccant-containers

Print instructions

Printed on a Prusa Mini in PETG, the main container should use 0.2 mm between 0-3 mm and 55-71 mm, the center with the tiny slots can be printed at 0.25mm (3mm-55mm) to optimize for print time.

Print both parts with the face down (easy to tell from the knurling for improving grip)

Side Note: PETG stringing works in our benefits and helps to create a tighter mesh of "strings" to hold smaller silica gel beads in, was definitely intentional...🙂
