DIY filament dryer based on ECG SO 375 food dehydrator.
There are two options for PTFE bowden tube mount:
- bowden-mount_lid.stl - not very convenient
- bowden-mount_base.stl - recommended, much better
You will need
- ECG SO 375 food dehydrator
- Lamart LT6036 cake box
- 51208 thrust ball bearing (inner diameter 40 mm, outer diameter 68 mm, height 19 mm)
- 1/8" pneumatic fitting
- PTFE bowden tube (standard 4/2 mm)
- 4× M3x8 screw + 4× M3 nut (when using bowden-mount_lid.stl)
Print and assembly instructions
- use PETG for better heat resistance
- print 4-6 pcs of wall-adapter.stl
- drill a few holes in the top of the lid (two is enough)
- cut a hole in the lid for the bowden mount, 17 mm wide and 11 mm deep (when using bowden-mount_base.stl)
PS
If you have this filament guide, you can use my bowden adapter for the other end of the PTFE tube, or this bowden clip for Prusa MK3S.
