Spool Insert

Some filament manufacturers have opted for cardboard spools, which are great in terms of reduction in plastic waste. One of the issues with cardboard is that it has a high level of friction on the sliding spool holder rods that are found on many printers.

This insert clips into the holes on the cardboard spool. They are reusable, so just print a couple sets and put them on all the cardboard spools you have.
