Description
A bicycle pump clasp/ mount using standard water bottle mounts holes (63.5mm ). model uses the plastic's compliance to give the perfect snap and tight hold on pump. Clasp mechanism is built around the oneup bike pump (EDC, www.oneupcomponents.com). ~29mm OD.
I would certainly say it's overkill for what it does but it was fun to build. See videos for operation. Still in a beta state as it needs to used in the field for awhile.
Pump Removal
Sound of a crisp snapping install.
There is a front and back clasps with a linkage piece between them. The linkage piece is not necessary but I like that it kept the clasper in the correct position. The water bottle mounts typically have low torque requirement so it's easy for the clasper to move when removing pump.
Tested in PETG. Used 50% infill with 4 perimeters to ensure a resilient snapping mechanism. probably could get away with less infill but it's a short print so whatever.
The linkage piece does have an orientation. The slightly curved surface on back will contact pump surface.
Print clasps with “U” of linkage socket up to minimize bridging. Print linkage with flat surface down. See Gcode attachment for reference.
Cheers.
