Description
Pothos is a great plant to use in aquariums to consume lots of nitrates with its rapid growth. Pothos grows well submersed and is a great tool to help maintain nitrate levels.
Install this basket on the side of the aquarium in the water. Then place a couple of pothos cuttings (with leaf/root nodes) into the basket. In 2-4 weeks roots will emerge and begin growing, eventually reaching the substrate. The cuttings don’t need to be very large, just large enough to have a couple of nodes in the water and a couple of leaves above water but can be larger if you want. Standard house plant pothos works well.
I printed this in PLA. Yes PLA is somewhat biodegradable so maybe I’ll have to replace it eventually. I’ll deal with that when the time comes.
I included the f3d project file in case you need to change any dimensions, such as tank rim thickness.
