Description
The Thuma bed's pillowboard/headboard is designed to be positioned between the mattress and the wall. This poses a problem if you wish to place the bed in front of a window.
The files included in this design will allow you to print a series of brackets that clamp onto the bed -- with ZERO modifications to the bed. This brackets, in conjunction with 3 pieces of steel (acquirable from an online source such as Fast Metals) and a series of 1/4-20 bolts, etc, are capable of supporting the pillowboard.
This design will work up to a Queen-sized bed. For the King, you likely will need to remix the design to use four brackets instead of 2.The STEP and F3D (Fusion 360) files are included so you can easily make changes. Please post variants as a Make or Remix, not as your own work.
This was designed to fit a queen-sized Thuma bed that was delivered in late July 2021. Earlier or later manufacturer dates may-- or may not -- have design changes that could render this design incompatible. This is beyond my control as I do not work for Thuma and I am merely a customer.

I printed all parts at 40% infill with 5 outer walls on a Creality CR-6 SE.
If printing in an open bed printer, consider printing with a brim to reduce the possibility of the corners lifting during printing. You will need print two copies of each part.
Top corner bracket: Print one copy normal, and one copy mirrored (this can be done in your Slicing software such as Cura or Prusa Slicer).
Lightly sand the steel bars and then paint with several light coats of quality spray paint (Rustoleum, Krylon, etc.) in a color of your choosing. This will help print the metal from discoloring the pillowboard cover.
You can also paint the 3d printed pieces to match, but this step is optional.
Use quality stainless hardware. Ace Hardware is typically an easier source to find bolts in just the right size. All hardware is 1/4"-20 thread except the set screws in the top corner brackets. Those holes are designed for small M4 screws. Use washers on both the nuts and bolts of all 1/4"-20" hardware.
This can be assembled on the bed frame by one person, but an extra set of hands could be helpful.
