Runcam3 or Session Mount for Mini Talon

This is a mount for the Mini Talon and the Runcam 3. A Gopro Session will fit as well but will need a 1mm spacer behind the camera to keep it full forward in the mount.

The mount mates up with the foam fuse perfectly, due to the design being modeled around a precise 3D scan of the forward part of the Mini Talon's fuse. This is the most aerodynamic method possible to use the runcam3 or session on the mini talon outside of putting it inside the fuse and of course then you can't see outside lol.

This mount will work fine along with itsqv canopies and camera mounts. In this case I am using the plain canopy with the Eagle2 pro mount. But you could just as easily use some of the more sophisticated itsqv mounts for pan and tilt for example.

I use a 3mmx6 screw and nut to retain the camera into the slide mount. However the print is pretty tight and probably doesn't need the screw to hold it in place. But it might so I use the screw to be safe.

The optional skid can be used for extra protection, but will require cutting off the wheel holder.

I also recommend removing the stock tail skid (too tall) and using a flush variety skid protector at the tail to reduce the angle downward after landing (during the slide to stop). If your prop is too big to do that, consider a folder prop.

The camera can be powered on or off by removing the camera slide or by removing the plain canopy and using a hex drive or other tool to reach the button from the top.

I would advise using a lens protector (for the runcam3 or gopro session) if you land on dirty or rocky environments. Preferred surface is grass whenever possible of course. This mount is suitable for me because I only land on grass. Please be careful if you are landing on gravel or rocks to protect your lens!

Since the slide mount is interchangeable it will be possible to design other slides to hold other camera styles in the future.
