Description
I noticed that wherever I placed my HomePod I would get vibration from something on the same surface with heavy bass sounds.
Â
All parts need to be printed in the orientation of the stls for best finish & I have tried my best to minimize the use of support material & this is only required in the 9 holes where the rubber dampers fix. I just used cylindrical support enforcers here in PrusaSlicer & with dailled in support settings, these are easily removed after printing.
Â
I printed everything with 0.4mm nozzle @ 0.2mm layer height & 15% stars infill with 3 perimeters, 3 bottom & 4 top solid layers, in PLA
Â
In the bottom section there are 9 recesses for rubber feet, these do not need support as they have chamfered walls and good bridging finishes off the top.
The rubber feet I used are: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001297404341.html & the size K0804 (F0804) or I suppose any half round rubber feet of 8mm diameter & 4mm high will do.
Â
The Centre Piece is pushed through from the inside of the Top where the two chamfered faces will mate together and secured with CA glue, not much required. Some fettling with sand paper may be necessary to get a nice fit. See attached images.
Â
The Radius Ring can then be pushed down over the Centre Piece from the top of the Top, again fettling may be needed, then secure with CA glue. See attached images.
Â
The rubber dampers I used are: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004754430403.html the 17.5x7x20mm size.
The can also be obtained from other suppliers if you search for: https://www.google.com/search?q=arris+damper&oq=arris+damper
I went for the black ones as they are graded to support the most weight.
Â
Getting the rubber dampers in to one section of the assembly is pretty simple, it is just a little tricky when trying to join the other half but I found that using something relatively blunt as to not damage the rubber, to ease a bit at a time of the rubber damper through each hole while compressing the Top & Bottom together slightly, I was able to pull the dampers through each hole in turn and get them seated relatively easily.

Any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Â
Happy Printing.. ;)

UPDATE 2023.01.21 - Added a redesigned top piece that now makes this compatible with the New HomePod, you do not use the Centre Piece or Radius Ring with this new Top.
